Lorrha/Dorrha

Lorrha Notes

Pride of place goes to Clodagh McIntyre  who was named on the Tipperary All Star team for 2021 in the mid field position.  Thirty Three nominees were selected from a total of 13 different clubs in the county across all five grades Senior, Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B and Junior  B2. And a few days later, Clodagh popped up again when she was  awarded the Tipperary FBD Insurance Club player of the year. Clodagh captained the Lorrha Camogie team to victory in the Junior B championship towards the end of the year and these awards are well deserved and a great honour for not just herself but also her family and her club. A Lorrha camogie player to watch out for in the future. Congratulations and well done Clodagh.

Visit to schools

Members of the Junior B camogie team visited the three schools in the parish on Friday last to show the two cups won by our U12s and adult team and to issue the  clubs newsletter. A big thank you to the teachers who organised a great welcome , with wonderful artwork, plenty of questions to the players and shots on goal against Katie Kennedy!  We hope to welcome girls back to the playing field in a few weeks-time and any girls from 8 years old up interested in joining our underage team please contact Caroline on 087 2345817.
