Work Evening.

Lorrha Development are holding a work evening around the village on Wednesday June 10th. from 7.00p.m. Please come along at whatever time suits you but it’s important that more people come and help. From June 1st. the judging of the tidy towns will commence and Lorrha will be visited at a time and date that we won’t know about and marks awarded for our efforts. It would help a lot if every resident in the village kept the area outside their homes litter and weed free please. Our thanks to Liz and Nancy for planting the hanging baskets and to Mary and Harry for helping them to hang them in place last week. It was great to see Charlott and Elaine doing their bit in the village last Friday. Well done to all who are helping out in various ways. Do keep it going.

Work in Progress.

Tipperary Co. Council have installed ducting on a stretch of the street outside the school and hall. This will remedy the water logging that occurs to the Birr side of the hall. They have also included ducting for electrical cables. Lorrha Development have many repeated requests over the years to the Council to include ducting throughout the village for the unsightly cables that run through on both sides and criss cross through the village. We hope this ducting will take place before the street is tarred.
The E.S.B. have installed two new street lights outside St. Ruadhan’s Terrace which is of great benefit to the residents there. Another long term project completed. Thank you.
