Five Day Weather Forecast.

Today December 30th. 2010. 

Mostly cloudy today with mist and fog slow to clear. Low cloud and mist will persist near south coasts with patchy drizzle but most other areas will be dry. A few bright spells may develop in the north and west. The top temperatures will be between 6 and 9 degrees in light easterly winds.

Tonight

Tonight will be mostly dry but cloudy with mist and some spots of drizzle. The lowest temperatures will be between 1 and 5 degrees with a touch of ground frost as winds fall light.

Tomorrow December 31st.

Friday will be another mostly dry day but rather cloudy and misty with just some spots of drizzle in places. The top temperatures will be between 5 and 7 degrees in a light variable breeze.

Outlook

Friday night (New Year’s Eve) will be mostly dry but cloudy and misty. It will be cold with temperatures falling to between -1 and 3 degrees in light to calm winds. It will be mostly dry on Saturday January 1st. 2011 except for some showery rain in the north which will move southwards overnight. It will become cooler as winds turn northerly with top temperatures between 4 and 7 degrees. Saturday night some clear spells are likely to develop with temperature falling to -4 degrees in the north with a widespread sharp frost but +2 to -3 degrees elsewhere. Continuing mainly dry on Sunday January 2nd. with sunny spells developing but very cold with top temperatures around 1 to 4 degrees. Very cold on Sunday night with temperatures falling to zero to -6 degrees with a widespread severe frost. Monday January 3rd. will be mostly dry and cold but overnight rain will extending southwards turning to sleet or snow over high ground.
