Lorrha’s Elaine Hough in action for Tipperary against Cork in the National League outing Division 2 last Sunday.



Sympathy is extended to Maisie Dolan and family Lissernane Rathcabbin on the death of her sister Annette McNamara who died in Dublin recently. Burial took place in Dublin. May she rest in peace.

Late Sr. Malachy Mannion.

The death has occurred in London of Sr. Malachy Mannion late of Ballyea Rathcabbin in her 98th. year. Funeral arrangements later.

First Friday.

Friday coming March 4th. is the First Friday of the month. Mass will be celebrated in Lorrha at 9.30am and in Rathcabbin at 7.30p.m. Confessions will be heard half an hour before each Mass.

North Tipp Ploughing Reminder.

The North Tipperary Ploughing Association will hold their Annual Ploughing Match at Fortmoy Aglish Borrisokane on Sunday 6th March by kind permission. All classes will be catered for. It is promised to be a fun family day. There are raffle tickets on sale which can be purchsed from any member of the comittee and will be available on the day. The draw will take place in Hough’s Pub Aglish on Sunday night with music by ‘Footloose’. Angling Club AGM Reminder.

Lorrha/Rathcabbin Angling club will hold their A.G.M.on Friday March 4th. At 9p.m. in Mahers shed. New members welcome.


A pair of gold rimmed glasses was found recently in the car park at the front of the Hall in Lorrha. They can be collected in the school in Lorrha.
