Great News from Rathcabbin.

Some of the Rathcabbin Tidy Towns members were nicely surprised last week with an invitation to attend the Tipperary County Council Awards night in the Nenagh Civic Office. A beautiful night where local groups from cemetery upkeep to drama to local individual sports people were celebrated.

The Rathcabbin Rural Development got recognised on the night for their considerable increase in points in 2023 Tidy Towns competition. We’d like to thank all locals for support during the year and especially those volunteers missing from this photo – Elaine Rigney Sherlock, Tom Lewis, Denise Clancy and Ciaran Yates who contribute to all the groups work regularly.

We’ve happily been awarded some monies for our progressive work by the local council. This prize money will go directly back into the village upkeep and projects for 2024. We thank all residents for your contributions around your homes, it all helped this recognition.

New volunteers are always welcome and a great time to join in an ad-hoc basis is for the Spring litter pick! Our aim is to continue with steady improvements next year.
