Late Keele Haslam.

The peaceful death occurred on Friday June 9th of Keele Haslam, Portland, Lorrha at the University Hospital, Galway.
Keele, who was in his 80th year, was a well known local man who farmed extensively almost all his life where he was born and raised in Portland. In recent years, Keele resided at the Portumna Retirement Village until his last illness which brought him to hospital. He was a familiar figure in the local cattle mart, through the years, whether buying or selling. A quiet gentleman, he was a wonderful neighbor who made many lasting friendships through his life. When he wasn’t tending to his dairy herd, he planted flowers around his home and had a rather envious vegetable plot too which was much admired by his neighbours.
Pre-deceased by his brother David and sister in-law Ann, he will be sadly and lovingly missed by his nieces Emma and Lynn, his family circle, good friends and neighbours. Keele’s private cremation took place on Tuesday last 13th after Service in St. Ruadhan’s Church of Ireland, Lorrha. May he rest in peace.
