TG4 televised a documentary about rural Ireland recently in which Lorrha featured along with our pupils. They all looked wonderful welcoming the cameras with a Cead Mile Fáilte.
Army Band. Our thanks to the members of the Army band who entertained us with a lovely musical selection on Friday 17th. Due to the inclement weather we had to adjourn to the Church and we thank Fr. Pat for his welcome. Many thanks also to all who turned out for the occasion and for the raising of the 4th green flag afterwards. We also welcomed our new first years to the school and they had a great time mixing and playing with their new friends.
Water Safety: Garda David Lee visited the school recently and advised the pupils of playing safely when near water and how to be extra careful on the beach this summer.
Maths Trail: The pupils went on a maths trail around Lorrha village before the summer break. Their teachers had set questions on various topics of interest which also served to bring awareness of the history which is all around the village and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the lesson.
The staff at Scoil Lua Naofa wish all pupils and their families a happy and safe summer.
