Rathcabbin First Responders (R.F.R.)

North Tipperary Ploughing held their annual raffle and presented cups to the winners on Easter Saturday night last in Paddy’s bar Terryglass. They also presented a cheque for €500 the proceeds from the gate takings on the day of the Championship, to North Tipp Hospice and there to collect the cheque was Lelia Kelly Nigal Foxton. Chairman Eamon Murphy thanked everyone who attended especially the members. He went on to thank all the sponsors of the various prizes, ticket sellers and buyers. Pieta House Fundraiser.
The Darkness into Light 5km walk/run will take place in Banagher this year on Saturday 7th May in aid of Pieta House, the centre for the prevention of suicide and self harm. The event will begin at 4:15 am from Banagher College and participants will cross the line as dawn is breaking. You can register online now or alternatively at Super Valu Banagher on Holy Thursday from 4-6 or Easter Saturday from 10-6 to avail of the early bird offer. Please come out and lend your support to this uplifting and inspirational event.

First Friday Mass on April 1st will be celebrated in Lorrha Church at 9.30a.m. with confessions at 9.00a.m. The dates for family Participation in First Communion and Confirmation Mass are Saturday, 2nd April – Redwood Church at 8.00p.m. Sunday, 3rd April – Lorrha Church at 10.00am and Rathcabbin Church at 11.30a.m.

Redwood NS Annual Fundraiser
We are holding our annual buffet dance in the GAA Clubhouse on Saturday, 9th April at 9.30pm. Music by Pat & Richie. Raffle for hamper and spot prizes Tickets are now being sold by the parents and will also be available on the night. All support much appreciated.

Portumna Library is hosting a children’s art exhibition of creations by the students of Ute Duggan “Bramble Art” from April 2nd – 16th, opening on Saturday 2nd at 3pm. All welcome.
