Change in Mass Times.
You are asked to note the change in Mass times for the winter months is as follows. Lorrha Church on Sundays at 10.30a.m. commencing the 25th. October Redwood Church on Saturday nights at 7.30p.m commencing the 31st. October. Mass in Rathcabbin remains unchanged at 11.30a.m. on Sundays.
A Halloween Party will take place in the Ferry Inn on Thursday October 29th. at 6.30p.m. Entertainment will include Kiddies Disco Party Games Party Food. All are welcome and all are invited to dress up for the occasion. Anyone requiring further details is asked to contact (090) 9747139.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Lewis and extended members of the family Gurteen Rathcabbin on the death of her mother Mary O’Brien Ballyegan Birr which occurred on Tuesday 13th. After funeral Mass on Friday last in St. Mary’s Church Shinrone burial took place afterwards in the new cemetery Shinrone. May she rest in peace.
Sympathy is also extended to the family and relatives of Gerard Moran Nenagh and formerly of Ballymacegan who died recently. May he rest in peace.

Memorial Long Tail Competition
The Last Chance Rathcabbin are again proud to host the PJ Gorman and Eddie Clancy Memorial Long Tail Competition on Sunday evening 1st November. Top prize will be €100 and a perpetual trophy with other trophies and prizes for runners up. As usual the bbq will be fired up for some delightful game fare and music is by the great 1-2-1.
No Luck In Munster.
Commiserations to the camogie girls who went under by seven points to Clonakilty in the Junior Munster Semi-Final in Mahon on Sunday last. It was a game that Lorrha could have won given a better hand out of luck on the day but it was not to be. Hard luck girls.

Congratulations and best wishes are extended to Orla Mannion Lorrha on the occasion of her 30th. birthday. Orla celebrated the occasion with a surprise birthday part held for her by her family and friends in The Ferry Inn on Saturday night last. It was also an occasion to welcome Orla home from her world travels. Well done Orla on your 30th. and it’s good to have you back again too.

Na Calaí CDP in conjunction with Age Action Ireland are planning to roll out the “Getting Started” Computer Training Programme for older people in the Portumna Rural area this Autumn / Winter. Volunteer tutors who can commit to a two hourly session over 6 to 8 weeks are needed for this project. Training will be provided by age action. Nenagh Players will present Brian Friel’s comedy ‘The Communication Cord’ in Borrisokane Hall from Tuesday November 3rd. to Saturday 7th. at 8.00p.m. The play is being staged in Borrisokane because the Town Hall in Nenagh is undergoing refurbishment.
