Calendar & Web Site Launch.

A double launch will take place when the 2010 parish calendar and the parish web site www.lorrhadorrha.ie will be launched in The Last Chance Rathcabbin on Saturday night coming the 21st. after the Church Celebrations finish. D.J. Ray will provide the music and refreshments will also be served. The parish web site was set up just twelve month’s ago and has attracted viewers from many Countries. It’s a great way for people living away from home to keep in touch with what’s happening on all aspects of life in the parish. Web designer Mark O’Leary will guide us all through the menu. Special guests on the night will be Captain of the Junior ‘A’ camogie champions Michelle Moran and our parish Co. Councillor Michael O’Meara. Last year a decision was agreed at a meeting to launch the calendar in various public houses around the parish and after the success of last years launch in McCormack’s pub in Abbeyville that decision proved to be the right one and we expect this years event in Rathcabbin to be equally as successful. The contents of the calendar too will hold a lot of interest for everyone in the parish and 2010 will also mark the 25th. Anniversary of Lorrha Development who produce the calendar as a fundraiser for the ongoing works in the village. The committee thank most sincerely all those who support this venture with adverts photo’s and by purchasing the calendar. Our thanks also to the business people both in the parish and outside who sell the calendar. Without your continued support this fundraiser which is part and parcel of our ongoing fundraising simply could not happen. The calendar is also out in good time to post to loved one’s in far away places for the Christmas season. We look forward to meeting you all once again on Saturday night.
