Sympathy.

The death occurred on Thursday April 15th. in Blackrock Clinic after a short illness of Revd. Donald Keegan Greystones Co. Wicklow and late of Birr and former Archdeacon of Killaloe and Clonfert. Archdeacon Keegan who was 72 was very fond of Lorrha and presided over many religious ceremonies in the parish over a period of about 15 years and he and his wife had made many lasting friendships not just here but also in Birr where they resided. A kind and good natured gentleman he was well liked and for all who knew him he was noted for his sharp mind where he had a word for all regardless of who they were so when news spread of his death a deep sense of loss was felt by many.
Sympathy is extended to his congregation and friends here in Lorrha his wife Janet his son Andrew daughters Ruth and Jackie daughter in-law sons in-law grandchildren relatives and friends.
