St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association. 

 The date for our trip to Cahir and Bru Boru for the Irish Night has now changed from Wednesday 14th July 2010 to Tuesday 13th July 2010.  The coach will pick up outside Portumna Church at 1.00pm Lorrha at 1.20pm and the Pike at 1.35pm. 

On Friday 16th July 2010 the coach will pick up in Lorrha at 4.00pm and the Pike at 4.10pm for our trip to Kilbeggan Races.

In Memory.

A Month’s Memory Mass for the late Noel Broderick will be celebrated in Lorrha Church Friday night 9^th. at 8.00p.m.

 Golf Outing Final Reminder.

Local golfing society RAGS  next outing is on the 10th July in Athenry(Captain’s Prize) – tee time is from 9.30 to 11 am. Please take note of the change of date.

 Summer Camp.

“Little Feet” summer camp will take place from July 12^th. to 16^th. €55 per child family discount available. Activitie’s will include hurling football art hockey parachute games and lots more. Ages 2 to 10 years catered for. Contact Charlene on (090) 9747885.

Tidy Towns.

Adjudication is in full swing over the next number of weeks and we need the help of every resident in the village to improve our marks this season. We appeal to everyone in and around the village to make a special effort to keep it clean and tidy. Thanks to the small group of people who come out to paint clean tidy up the litter plant weed etc. Without the continued support of those people the village would not be looking so well. It’s so encouraging too when we receive compliments on how well the village is looking. Well done to all the workers and to Michael you truly show pride in your place. Keep up the good work. The Co. Council continue to complete the ducting and we hope that soon the path’s will be completed to enhance our village further.
