Lorrha Notes.

         Late Ken McGahey.

Sympathy is extended to the Bourke families on the unexpected death of Ken McGahey Blackpool England on July 2nd. and who was predeceased just four weeks previously by his wife Dinah (Bourke) formerly Graigue Rathcabbin. Ken is survived by his step children Des Niall and Sarah brothers in-law sisters in-law relatives and friends. Funeral will take place in Blackpool on Thursday 15th. July. May he rest in peace.

St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association.

On Friday 16th July 2010 the coach will pick up in Lorrha at 4.00pm and the Pike at 4.10pm for our trip to Kilbeggan Races.

Tidy Towns Reminder.

A work evening will be held in Lorrha village this Thursday evening the 15th. from 6.30p.m. Assemble outside the hall. If this time doesn’t suit please do come along at whatever time you can. If some other evening is more suitable to you call (086) 8647166 and let us know. It’s better to do a little than to do nothing at all.
Adjudication is in full swing over the next number of weeks and we need the help of every resident in the village to improve our marks this season. We appeal to everyone in and around the village to make a special effort to keep it clean and tidy.

We extend the best of luck to Elaine Hough and Caoimhe Kennedy and the Tipperary Intermediate camogie team when they take on Limerick this coming Saturday 17th. in a Limerick venue in the All-Ireland series. This will be an uphill battle for the young Tipp side who will be facing into a Limerick team that re-graded from senior earlier this year. All the best girls and give it your best shot.

Youth Summer Festival.

The Annual youth Summer festival to Clonmacnois will take place this year from Thursday 12th. to Sunday 15th. August for those aged 16 years to 35 and is free with donation only and also free bus service available. This festival has proven over the years to be a very popular way for young people to meet get to know each other and make new friends while also having the opportunity to experience their Faith.
