Virtuoso Chamber Choir to Launch Debut CD

The highly acclaimed Birr-based female vocal ensemble “Virtuoso” are set to release their much anticipated debut album “Enchanted” later this month. The girls who have received much recognition locally and beyond for their beautiful musical contributions to weddings concerts religious services and various other events are most noted for their unique ability to blend their voices in seamless harmony to create a distinctive angelic sound.
Members of the group hail from Rathcabbin Birr Shinrone Roscrea and Cloghan. Most of the choir have been singing together in various forms since childhood which is a contributing factor to both their vocal compatibility and also the special bond which the girls share with each other.
The album “Enchanted” features a mix of musical styles which shows off the choir’s versatility and includes songs such as “All I Want is You” “Siúil a Rúin” “Ave Verum Corpus” and “Danny Boy” and was recorded in Bourney church Roscrea last August.
The main launch will take place in the Marian Hall Birr on the 16th of April at 8pm and this will include a full concert and a cheese and wine reception. This will be preceded on the 15th of April by a pre-launch concert in Ballinasloe Church of Ireland and there will also be a launch in Roscrea Church of Ireland on April 28th both also at 8pm. Tickets for all of these events are priced at €10 (concessions €6) and can be purchased on the door or else be booked in advance from 086-3999540. The album will be available in local shops at a cost of €12 but it will be available at any of the three launch nights for the reduced cost of €10.
