First Friday.

Friday December 2nd is the First Friday of the month. Mass will be celebrated in Lorrha at 9.30a.m. and Rathcabbin at 7.30p.m. Confession before Mass.
Thanks is extended to the Hall committee for allowing Mass to be celebrated there during the recent installation of the new heating system in St. Ruadhan’s Church. Subscription to the Sacred Heart Messenger for 2012 is now due and can be handed into the school. New subscribers welcome.

Shoebox Appeal.

Well done to the pupils of Scoil Lua Naofa Lorrha who took part in the recent Christmas shoe box appeal. Many children in the Developing world will enjoy a better Christmas thanks to this generosity.

The Giving Tree.

This Advent in our community we have placed a “Giving Tree” in each of our three Churches to give people the opportunity to contribute to the less well off. These trees we have decorated with leaves on each leaf there is written a suggested gift that you might contribute. The idea is: you take one or more leaves each week between now and the end of Advent and make the contribution it suggests on the back of the leaf. You can place your gift in the basket provided. Many families approach Christmas with dread and by your contribution you are bringing the joy of the festive season to homes that would otherwise have to go without. All contributions will be donated to our local St Vincent De Paul Society and/or the Lions Club.

Eucharistic Congress.

You are asked to note that if you plan to attend the International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin next June then you must book beforehand by logging onto www.iec2012.ie where you will find all the details.
