Late Mary O’Brien.

The death took place on Friday December 7th of Mary O’Brien, Cullagh, Rathcabbin. Mary who was 84 years of age, passed away suddenly in St. Kieran’s Care Home, just down the road from where she was born and raised and just like how she would have wanted it to happen. A little woman with a big heart, Mary was well known in the locality. She took over the housekeeping duties after the death of her mother who was also Mary, looking after her brothers and she always had the kettle on the boil so she could make a cup of tea and have a chat with all who called to her house. She loved to knit and her Tipperary scarves and hats was her trademark.
Predeceased by her mother Mary, father Patrick, brothers Edward, Johnny and Joseph, she is survived by her sister Martha, brothers Patrick, Jimmy and Michael, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends to whom sympathy is offered.
After funeral Mass in Our Lady Queen of Ireland Church Rathcabbin, burial took place in Bonoham Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
Mary’s Months Memory Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady Queen of Ireland Church Rathcabbin on Sunday January 6th at 11.30am.
