The weather was just perfect for the occasion and the crowds responded by turning out in thousands. The music was superb and kept the dance floor flowing over with no one leaving till the final whistle sounded. Well done to all.

GAA News.

Lorrha CountryFest: A massive thank you to everyone who made the first Lorrha CountryFest such a massive success last Sunday. The weather God smiled on us and provided a perfect day from where over 2000 people danced the day away to some great music, headlined by Robert Mizzell and Mike Denver. As well as the acts and those to who attended, the club would particularly like to thank all players and club members who gave up their time in the lead-up to the event, and on the day, to get the venue ready; from ticket sellers, stewards, bar staff, catering staff, and everyone who made the venue ready accessible for the music goers. Also to those who provided food, ice-creams, refreshments etc….and, security team, Order of Malta and the Gardai for their help also. Then when the event was over the site was cleared and tidied quickly with great community spirit in evidence. While primarily a fundraiser for the GAA club, this was a great event for the whole Lorrha community from which we will all benefit from.
