Gratitude.

Whitten & Linda Gill would like to thank everyone who helped and supported the BBQ and raffle held at their home on 17/08/2014 in aid of Dorrha Church repairs.   It was a very successful event but it could not have been achieved without the help and support of the wider community. To date a total of €4100 was raised. Many thanks to one and all.

Good Luck.

We extend the best of luck to Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher, Ken Hogan and the Tipperary team when they take on Kilkenny on Sunday in the All-Ireland final. The parish is beginning to get behind the team with flags and buntings going up all over the place. Tom and Martina Duffy and family, Walshpark have pulled out all the stops once again and have created Bonners army in their front lawn. They wish to offer thanks to Ger Leahy from Killyion for the use of his 1956 Army Troop Carrier which weights 28 Tonne and which they have decorated appropriately for the occasion. All in the parish are getting behind ‘Bonner’ Ken and Tipperary on Sunday.  Up Tipp.

Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died.

He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.

“Did you see the paper?” asked Gallagher. “They say I died!!”
“Yes, I saw it!” replied Finney.  “Where are ye callin’ from?”
