Lorrha Notes

Recent Wedding.

The wedding of Mary Keane daughter of Kim and Denis Rathcabbin and John Lambe son of Willie and Phyllis Rathcabbin took place on Friday 13th July in St Brigids Church Portumna. The bride was attended by her sister Helen while the bestman was Keith Brady friend of the groom and groomsman Thomas Lambe brother. The brides niece 10 year old Natasha Delaney was the lovely flowergirl on the day. The readers for the ceremony were Rebakah Lambe and Pauline Murphy both sisters of the groom Seamus Murphy grooms brother in-law and Mary Hull aunt of the bride. Celebrant was Father Lawless and the lovely Church music was provided by the Borrisokane Gospel choir. Both the mother of the bride Kim and the mother of the groom Phyllis brought the offertory gifts to the altar. Afterwards the newly weds celebrated their marriage with family and friends in the Abbey Court Hotel Nenagh where the couple invited their guests to join in a comedy hypnotist which was thoroughly enjoyed. After the reception the entertainment first by a band and then by a D.J. partied well into the night. The following day the newly weds had an after party in the Last Chance Bar Rathcabbin where they celebrated with many of the locals. Mary and John would like to thank everyone for celebrating their wedding day with them and for the very generous gifts.
