Angling Club News.

Lorrha/Rathcabbin Angling club trout competition last round of the Pete Boylette Memorial Perpetual cup to be held from Portumna and District Angling club grounds on Sunday 28th. June from 2. to 6 p.m.

Gratitude.

Many thanks to all those who came out to the work evenings around the village showing pride in their own place and a special thanks to Arnold for providing the lovely and much needed refreshments. There will be more work evenings organised and if anyone has a preference for a particular evening then call or text (086) 8647166. (if sending a text do leave your name) Judging of the tidy towns is now in full swing.

Lorrha Development.

A meeting of Lorrha Development Association will take place in the hall on Tuesday night June 30th. at 8.30p.m. All are welcome.

Pilgrimage.

The Annual Killaloe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine takes place on Sunday July 5th. under the leadership of Bishop Willie Walsh and organised by the Legion of Mary. Anyone interested in travelling are requested to give their names to Gertie O’Meara at (090) 9747080 or to Betty Houlihan at (057) 9139085. You are asked to book before Sunday June 28th. Fare: Adults €18. Children : 9.

Dog Found.

A black and white dog had strayed into a house in Lorrha village. The dog is described as very friendly and mannerly and was obviously well cared for. He can be claimed by calling (087) 9317812.

Charity Dance.

St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association wishes to thank all who supported their fundraising dance with the proceeds of €556 going to charity. The group are now on their annual break and will resume meetings in September.
