Important Notice.

Please take note that there will be no meeting of St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association this Wednesday 12th. May.

Sympathy.

Your prayers are requested for the soul of Fr. Liam Murray A.P. Whitegate Co. Clare who died during the week. Fr. Liam was instrumental in setting up many camogie clubs around Clare and Tipperary and was the current President of the Clare Co. Board. Funeral took place on Sunday last. May he rest in peace.

Enterprise Week.

Offaly County Enterprise Board are holding a week of free events and seminars for businesses and for people thinking of setting up their own business based on From Recession to Recovery from 10th. to 14th. Angling Club.

Lorrha / Rathcabbin angling club rescheduled Annual General meeting will take place this Friday night 14th. May at 9.00p.m. in Mahers “shed” Lorrha. All members are requested to attend. New members welcome.

Well Done Girls.

Congratulations and well done to Elaine Hough Caoimhe Kennedy and the Tipperary Senior camogie team who beat Clare in the Munster final on Saturday evening last in Toomevara. Commiserations to Megan O’Meara and the Tipperary Under 16 team who were unable to curtail Galway in the All-Ireland final which took place in Tullamore on Saturday.

Senior’s and U/14’s.

Lorrha Seniors served up a great performance against old rivals Toomevara on Sunday evening in Nenagh and despite loosing the game it was a much improved performance on previous outings.
Pride of place this week goes to the under 14 footballers who had a three point extra time victory over Shannon Rovers Gaels in the North Football final on Friday evening last in Borrisokane. Well done lads.

Pilgrimage.

A pilgrimage to Medjugorje will take place from June 4th. to June 11th. There are some places available. For further information contact (067) 32160.

New Meeting Place Reminder.

Due to the refurbishment of the GAA clubhouse at Moatfield all meetings of St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association will now be held in St. Ruadhan’s Community Hall in Lorrha at 2.30p.m. New members welcome.

Summer Camp.
