Schools Go Green:
Congratulations to Lorrha and Redwood schools who have been awarded green flags in recent weeks. Lorrha received their first green flag after a lot of work was applied to the area of waste minimisation and control of litter while Redwood receive their second green flag which deals with energy reduction. A lot of work has been taking place in both schools over the last two years on these projects making the young people aware of how best to preserve our environment. The flags were presented to the schools on Friday last at a ceremony held in Kilkenny. Well done to both staff and pupils in the two schools.
