Lorrha Development/Tidy Towns.

With Tidy Towns judging now in full swing, as in previous years, we ask all residents to help keep the village looking good. This can be done by keeping the path outside your house free from litter, grass and weeds. The litter bins provided in the village and housing estates are for the use of keeping the village tidy and litter free and are not for personal use. Plant some window boxes and do some painting where required if you can please. Every little helps. Without you’re continues support over the past number of years, we could not have achieved the high marks that we have and with everyone doing a little, we can continue to build on this and hold onto what we have.

Smile Awhile and laugh a little Every Day.

Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn’t find a parking place.

Looking up to heaven he said, “Lord take pity on me.  If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!”

Miraculously, a parking place appeared.

Paddy looked up again and said, “Never mind, I found one.”
